Govinda Chandra Dev Bhaban — the building stood even before the University of Dhaka was founded. It was later named after Dr. Govinda Chandra Dev, respected teacher of Philosophy and provost of Jagannath Hall, martyred in the Liberation War of 1971.
Jyotirmoy Guhathakurta Bhaban — also older than the university, later named after the renowned professor of English language and literature Jyotirmoy Guhathakurta, martyred in 1971.
Santosh Chandra Bhattacharya Bhaban — named after Dr. Santosh Chandra Bhattacharya, respected teacher of the Department of History and martyred intellectual.
